While certainly simpler to use than NRaas SP, the alternative isn't anywhere near as customizable and can add things to players' games that they just do not want. The only other alternative I am aware of is wrapped inside of a Core Mod from our friendly competitor, one that we cannot discuss in great detail on this forum. Unfortunately, I don't know of a standalone TS3 genetics replacement system. This may well be more of a mod than you really wanted and if you switch off SP's progression (it's off by default, actually), then its genetics system isn't going to take hold.
Genetics is only a part of what it controls. I pretty much got this mod to have better genetics, so each kid has a good mix of both parents, is this what that option means? When in the pregnancy option, there seems to be no chance of part inheritance.
